Halloween Treat Bags - Tarrah McLean
Halloween Treat Bags
By Tarrah McLean
Hi everyone and Happy Halloween!
It’s Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am so excited to share some super cute Halloween Treat bags created using Teresa Collins products! As I do not have any Teresa Collins Halloween product, I challenged myself to improvise and use what I had on hand. I am not sure about you, but I really like to challenge myself like this!
I had some small plain paper gift bags laying around the house and I thought they would make awesome Trick or Treat bags for Halloween! I decided to make good use of some of Teresa’s awesome digital cut files found in store! I cut out 3 different cut files including the Spiders one from white glitter cardstock, the Pumpkin Banner from orange textured cardstock and the Trick or Treat title from black textured cardstock.
For the Pumpkin banner cut file, I felt it needed something extra, so I decided to back the eyes and mouth of the pumpkins with gold glitter cardstock to add a little extra detail. I threaded some twine through the holes in the banner and adhered just the ends of the twine to each corner of the bag at the top so that the banner could hang freely.
Once the cut files were all adhered to each bag I went ahead and decorated each bag with Teresa goodies! I cut some thin strips of paper from the black and white striped papers in both the Bold Life and Stationery Studio paper collections. I opted to add some of the Bold Life washi tape to the Kraft bag instead.
I punched out stars using Teresa’s star punch from gold glitter cardstock. I love how these look against the black Trick or Treat title on the Kraft bag. I layered some of the Bright Side word stickers over the top of the stars.
I absolutely LOVE the Studio Gold banner pieces, I added these to 2 of the gift bags and layered stickers over the top. My favourite thing from all of these gift bags is that sticker from the Sassy sticker set that says ‘Bite Me’. That sticker was the perfect addition to the gift bag with the spider on it!
Another favourite is the ‘Watch Me’ that has been fussy cut from one of the Bold Life papers, it was perfect for the pumpkin banner gift bag, those pumpkins do watch you in creepy ways!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my project. After Midnight, Teresa’s new Halloween line is out now so if you want to make it easy for yourself to create Halloween projects, make sure you get it from here!
Happy Halloween and happy creating!
