SUITCASE ALBUM - Agnieszka Laloggia
Hello everyone, Aga here with my first ever blog post as a part of Teresa Collins Design team. Hopefully you go easy on me and enjoy my project as much as I did while working on it. When planning on documenting and creating an album from our trip to Florida I knew I wanted to include lots of photos but I also only wanted to create a mini version of a book, just needed a fun idea for it. That’s when I stumbled upon a suitcase with a maxbox insert.
To create my project I used Teresa’s Jetsetter and Mon Cheri collections. In my eyes it was a perfect combo for documenting our family trip. My project wouldn't be complete without a die cut flower, which this time I only used the smallest petals from the Magnolia metal die set.
To make this project I needed :
Suitcase/ Body :
Cards stock paper in pink : 4.5x11 which ten was scored at 3.5, 43/4, 81/4, 9.5
Pattern paper - Mon Cheri collection 2 pieces 43/4 x 31/4 ,
2 strips from the same collection 1 1/8 x 4 ¾
Straps : 2 - ½ x 12
Handle: 1 x 5 “ scored on each side at 1”
Buckles: 2- ½ x 1 ¼ “
Corners : 6 -1” circles cut in a half and scored at ½”
Mini book cover : 11 x 4 ⅛ scored at 3, 4 ⅛ , 7 ¼ , 8 ¼
2 cardstock pieces to make 11 pages for the accordion like insert/book
each 2 ⅝ x 4 ⅛
Maxbox (insert for the case / mini book holder): 5 ¾ x 6 ⅞ scored at 1 ¼ on each sides
The entire accordion-like book has been filled with different sizes of photos in a collage-like format, which later I either adhere to the pages of the accordion or each other for the fuller look with the help of my sewing machine. Fun fact: the only way I know what to do with it is to see a somewhat straight line. The mini book itself was made entirely with help of a jetsetter collection which contained not only perfect pages of pattern paper but also tags, cards and words which were easy to cut and adhere to the pages. In the last two pages of the book there were two pockets to hold more small sized photos. The project wouldn't be complete without a Jetsetter sticker set and butterfly digital die cut.
I hope you enjoyed my project and are adventurous enough to try making it yourself, feel free to stop by my instagram (@Agi620) write me with any questions or concerns, happy crafting everyone! :)
